Hitsumabushi



I will introduce about a bowl of rice topped with grilled eel. It is called “Hitsumabushi” in Nagoya.

Hitumabushi is famous food in Nagoya. It was thought by Houraiken in Atsuta. It started in the Meiji Era.

Hitsumabushi has many ways to eat. First, you put sauce on the Hitsumabushi and eat. Next, you put a long green onion, a laver and a wasabi on it and eat. They suit it the best. Lastly, you put green tea on it. You eat as boiled rice with tea poured over it.
